Fortune Tellus’ turns the table on traditional fortune telling experiences, in which the reader predicts the future for themselves. Using a custom designed deck of cards, the reader is invited to reclaim their imagination by putting a name to four of the unseen forces of change.
While originally just born from a desire to help tattoo artists protect their original work, after beginning the project it became clear that underlying this was another issue. This was that the practice of tattooing is not respected as an art form.
In my research project, I am looking for an answer of what is the genuineness/essence of participation in these social-turn art practices and what can be generated exactly by participation.

Whilst on the MA Culture and Enterprise course I created a tiny gallery outside my house to exhibit work from local and not so local artists. responses I decided to keep the project going and decided I would like try to scale it and write about it for my MA Live project which finishes this December. I would like to share my thoughts and this journey at the symposium.
